Summary:

The United States Department of Veterans Affairs Sierra Nevada Health Care System (VASNHCS) recently awarded Visionary Consulting Partners, LLC (Visionary) a contract to provide Pre-Planning Services. The award supports VASNHCS in their ongoing efforts to provide primary and secondary care to the Veteran population of northern Nevada and northeastern California. Visionary will assist the VASNHCS in activities designed to support the Initial Outfitting, Transition, and Activation of the renovated medical center located on the main campus in Reno, Nevada.

Implementation:

Team Visionary (VCP and CPI) provides IOT&A Pre-planning services supporting Project Nevada’s Heroes (PNH), characterized as a MEGA Project with costs estimated to be around $280M, consisting of a seismic renovation of the existing Building 1 and the construction of a new outpatient clinic Building 100 at the VA Sierra Nevada Medical Center at 975 Kirman Avenue, Reno, Nevada. This includes several Make-ready construction and renovation projects necessary to bolster the facility’s current infrastructure in preparation for the anticipated impact of the MEGA project to the facility.

 

Team Visionary supports the Activation Program Office in planning all activation-related activities, including the relocation of current building occupants into Modular buildings to be located throughout the campus, other locations in existing buildings, and off-campus locations. This also involves the precise planning of a well-timed chain of events to vacate and clear the existing building of all assets including Medical Equipment and Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E), and to relocate services infrastructure to their identified locations, while reducing anticipated service downtime.

Ongoing Results:

Team Visionary has utilized personnel experience, techniques, tools, technologies, and methodologies adapted to the needs of the VA Medical Center in Reno to conduct comprehensive pre-planning activities identical to those identified in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) of Task Order 1 (TO1) under this solicitation. Additionally, Team Visionary is developing the facility’s Concept of Operations (CONOPS) at service and facility levels for all phases of the project, the Lifecycle cost estimate (LCCE) for the overall Activation, and the Integrated Logistics Support Plan (ILSP) throughout construction, activation, and future facility operations.
